Navigating Liminality: The In-Between & Not-Yet
About a year ago, my counselor introduced me to a term, a concept, that I had never heard before: Liminality - a threshold, or doorway between two stages, an in-between period, typically marked by uncertainty. Little did I know, this unfamiliar word would end up providing the perfect definition for what my life looks like at this very moment, navigating the “not-yet.”
Good Grief: A Case for Processing Your Loss.
On an unprecedented global level, we have seen the cumulative effects of COVID, political tension, racial division, economic instability, natural disasters, and more. Harmony. Not a laughing [at] matter.
Laughter is an interesting thing. It can certainly be medicine. It can also be poison.
Mind Your Sharing... Before Sharing Your Mind
Communication isn’t about what we put “out there” but, more importantly, what is understood and set in motion by what we have expressed.
I Only Have Eye for You… Losing on Purpose
One of the MANY significant things I have learned in these 24 years of marriage is as amazing and as beautiful as my wife is… as wonderful as my three daughters are… as valuable and cherished as my calling to ministry and seeing God transform people’s live is – I am not strong enough.
Reconciliation… A Matter that Matters
As practical and valuable as reconciling a checkbook is to my daughter’s future, walking together in, and contending for, reconciliation in our relationship matters far far more… and makes passing on the practical stuff far far easier.
